Dr. Hussein Yusuf Ali is a distinguished expert in peace, governance, and institutional development, with a rich academic portfolio that includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Finland; a Master of Arts in International Relations from London Metropolitan University, UK; an MA in Public Management in International Cooperation from Kehl University, Germany; and a Ph.D. in Peace, Governance, and Development from the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica. Throughout his career, Dr. Hussein has assumed critical roles, including Senior Consultant for the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue and Acting Director of the SIDRA Institute. He has also held key positions within the Office of the President of Somalia, notably as Director of Social Affairs and Director of Policy and Planning. His profound commitment to advancing sustainable development and effective governance is evident through his contributions to peacebuilding, policy formulation, and conflict mediation.
