Abdi possesses a strong academic background in media and journalism, with roughly 14 years of experience. He leads and advises on the planning and design of activities and initiatives for common communications, advocacy, and outreach efforts aligned with SIDRA's communication strategy.
He collaborates closely with programs to ensure relevant program materials—including human-interest stories, donor reports, proposals, fact sheets, infographics, etc.—are developed and disseminated to target groups through appropriate media and network channels.
Abdi holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from East Africa University and is currently pursuing a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications at Kesmonds International University in Cameroon.
